From Jaded to Untethered

Life’s journey conceives an inevitable path for human beings to become adrift. Faced with the threat of stagnation, life becomes jaded with upcoming patterns of daily redundancy. We come independently halted to our own journey’s standstill; developing an inquisitive zest purely fueled from (past) obscure life choices. The questions spin through our head in anxiety’s repetitive waltz; in a tune lead by the hum of collective past grievances. We cradle sorrows in the palms of our hands during this shamefully overbearing melody. And we breathe, and breathe and breathe a silent prayer of clemency for our sake.

In essence, the backflow of being adrift brings the gift of becoming afloat…

In between periods of self comfort, there is a persistent light that illuminates from far within. In cycles of being adrift, life’s ebb and flow takes us back to the Source. Our breaths become a mentor in shaping clearer views of the present moment. Our lips purse the gentle reminders of mantras; consistently cradling the heart with every word. We gradually open our eyes to the arising beauty of moments within our vision. We become untethered from life’s greatest burdens; only after realizing we have been own savior all along.

This is what it is like to live mindfully – taking the pain and learning to rise…
